Shiitake (Lentinula edodes)

Known for their robust, smoky character and chewy, meaty bite, Shiitake mushrooms are a pantry staple in Asian and fusion cuisine. These are grown on hardwood and harvested at peak maturity.

Excellent in broth-based dishes, stir-fries, or grilled whole with soy, garlic, and sesame. Remove stems before cooking (they’re tough but can be saved for stock).

Best cooked: Stir-fried, braised, or grilled. Ideal in ramen or risotto.

Shelf life: 7–10 days in fridge. Best enjoyed fresh.

Please allow 1–3 days before dispatch based on harvest timing.

We harvest all mushrooms at their peak to ensure you receive them at their freshest and most flavourful—so they may not be quite ready the moment you place your order.

Grown and prepared in the Midlands, UK.

Allergy information: Our mushrooms are grown on a natural substrate that may contain soya and gluten.

While every effort is made to ensure only clean mushrooms are harvested and packaged, there is a small possibility that trace amounts of substrate may be present.
